31 Pages in 31 Days

Whoooo hoooo!!! We made it! Here we are at Day 31of our month-long scrapbooking challenge. Give yourself a BIG round of applause if you participated in the 31 Pages in 31 Days challenge! Even if you didn't hit the magic number of 31 pages completed during our immersion scrapping month, if you made any progress at all– got yourself organized, ordered essentials, or stashed inspiration for when you DO have time later this year–be proud!

You are taking steps to preserve your family's memories and traditions and just plain cuteness for years to come. Your kids will be delighted to have their faces off the memory stick and into a book. Good for you!

Maybe it's the teacher in me (yes, I'll be teaching art again this year!) but I just love the Moonlight Designer Series Paper Stack for school-themed layouts. I don't know why–other than the grid patterns, nothing really specifically "says" school, but it always seems to pull together. And I absolutely adore the color combo of Blackberry Bliss, Hello Honey, Sahara Sand, Basic Gray and Lost Lagoon.

I had a bunch of stars left in the scrap bin from making this Star Framelit star-shaped card, so I glommed those to use for a motif on my ABC page. You really can't go wrong with stars.  Abcstarspreaddetails
This spread has a lot of patterns, but it all works. I love that the patterns in the Designer Series Paper packs are all designed to go together. It takes so much less time to pull together coordinated colors for any kind of project. And time is at a premium in our busy modern lives, is it not? Especially for me right now as I start those art classes and head into craft fair season.

So, that's it for another month of 31 Pages in 31 Days! I'm not quitting scrapbooking, of course–there will just be more card posts than page posts around here once again. And it's time for some Christmas card inspiration now, too. Already! Where does the time go?? Thank you SO MUCH for all the lovely comments you have left and the kind things you've said about my pages. It makes me really, really happy to hear that you have been inspired by layouts, color combos, headlines, and stamping ideas you've seen here at Song of My Heart Stampers. Thanks for stopping by!

  1. You did it! I will miss the scrapbook layouts, as I somethimes need something to get me going with my scrapbooking. I think it is because it takes so much longer to do a page than a card. However, I am also excited that you are doing cards again, since that is really my number one passion. I am too a teacher, now retired, so I am surprised that you were able to get all of these pages done, with all of the things that come up just before school starts. I have a favor to ask. I have more than enough flower themed cards, although they are certainly beautiful to send to others, but I live in a household with all males, and so I would like to request that every so often if you could put in some generic, non-flowery cards. Thanks a bunch for your daily inspiration!
