Simple Watercoloring Butterfly Punch Card

Watercolor Butterflies Card Stampin Up SOMHS

Would you believe this card didn't even take ten minutes? It was so quick! Well, I did let it dry before I adhered everything, so that added some time. But you can speed that up with your heat tool on the lowest setting, if you need to.

Using my Aquapainter (so cool to have that reservoir of water right there in the handle!) I brushed on Bermuda Bay and Daffodil Delight inks down the center of a 4×5.25 inch piece of watercolor paper. I tried to blend the colors near the center so I got some green where the yellow and turquoise met. Then I scribbled off my Aquapainter on some scrap watercolor paper, that I later used to punch out the butterflies.

I let the background dry, punched my butterflies with the Elegant Butterfly punch, and stamped the wavy line stamp from Hello Life across the butterflies. I love what that added to the card. Then I stamped the saying from Hello Life as well, using the Island Indigo ink pad.

That was it! Stay tuned for more easy Aqua Painter watercoloring cards. I made a BUNCH of backgrounds while I had the supplies out, so once I get a few minutes more to sit down and play, I'll share those finished cards as well. What are you playing with this week?
