Welcome to the final post featuring the adorable Sale-A-Bration Set of the Week, Hello! I'll be featuring a different reward freebie stamp set or papers here at Song of My Heart Stampers starting Tuesday. You can read about Sale A Bration here, and you'll see why we're so excited for it! It's my tenth Sale A Bration with Stampin' Up, and I still get just as excited every time.
Today's post is all about Watermelon Wonder… I am in love with this fantastic dark coral-y pink. I used it at Christmas, but it's really coming into it's own with my spring and summer projects. The incredibly cheerful and upbeat feel of this Watermelon Wonder, Basic Gray, Whisper White and Hello Honey envelope card just totally makes me smile.
Suggested Color Combination:
TIP: Do you ever make your own envelope cards with the Envelope Punch Board? Just make one and don't glue it together. Adhere a quarter-sheet of white to the inside of the envelope, fold the envelope closed, and create a sliding "belly band" to hold it shut. Easy and fun (and obviously for hand-delivery only).
This stamp set isn't just for cards, though. I used Hello on this fun scrapbook layout, too!
The layout is from my Scrapbooker's One-Sheet Wonders Vol. 1, which you can find for just $10 in Song of My Heart's Etsy Shop! There are two volumes out now. So this entire layout is made from ONE sheet of 12×12 patterned paper, plus the base pages. All I had to do was cut according to the guide, layout according to the diagram, and embellish. SO EASY!
I used the cute "serging" stamp to add "stitching" on my patterned papers (English Garden, #138440) which I think plays up the fabric look. I furthered that textural feel with the Watermelon Wonder lace flowerettes which I hand-sewed (!!!) to the page. Now it's all ready for pictures of my cute new foster nieces. My brother's family has three new members, temporarily at least, and it's so fun to love on them and make fantastic memories together, which I hope they will carry with them wherever they go in life.
So there you are–three posts full of ideas for the very sweet and whimsical Hello set. I hope you've enjoyed the featured Sale A Bration freebie set this week, and are looking forward to the announcement of the next one, on Tuesday! Lots happens on a Tuesday around this joint–my weekly newsletter goes out (subscribe here!); the Weekly Deals post to my shopping site; and the blog is full of new inspiration. See you then!
