Welcome to the third and final post featuring the adorable Sale-A-Bration Set of the Week, Perfect Pairings (wood-mount, cling-mount)! I'll be featuring a new reward freebie stamp set or papers here at Song of My Heart Stampers each week until March 31st, 2016, when SAB officially ends. You get one free rewards choice with every $50 spent! You can read about Sale A Bration here, and you'll see why we're so excited for it! It's the perfect time to shop, host, or join Stampin' Up. I've been a demonstrator for ten years now, personally helping nearly 100 women (and a few guys!) start their own stampin' adventure. I'd LOVE to talk to you about joining, too. Whether you are business-minded or purely hobbyist, it's all fine by me!
Today's share is this adorable little desktop birthday bouquet, with a little box made with a piece of 6×6 patterned paper and the Gift Box Punch Board. Inside it, there's a little square of florist's foam and three bamboo skewers I cut down to varying heights. I covered the foam with some paper shred from the dollar store.
After the prep work for the base is done, the rest is just decorating! I made little stamped and punched circles, stars and pennants using scraps of this and that, hot-gluing them to the skewers. You could also used striped paper party straws for the sticks, wouldn't that be cute? Add a few bows or knots of ribbon or lace for the finishing touch of texture, and you have the perfect little birthday celebration to sit on your co-worker's desk or sneak into their mail slot.
Does this project look familiar? I first made the desktop birthday bouquet live onstage at the Stampin' Up National Convention in July 2015. My projects were all based around the lovely vintage-themed Timeless Elegance papers and a pink, gray and black color scheme. Here's the one I made for that event. I had a lot of fun making this dainty little confection! if you like vintage, you'll also want to click here to see two other projects from that same presentation, using the same materials as this birthday bouquet.
Thanks so much for popping into SOMHS today to see what I've cooked up! I love that you come to visit me. I know there are a ton of sources out there for papercrafting inspiration, and it means a lot to me that I am on your list of places to peek at when you're ready to get creative. Have a great day, friend!
Suggested Color Combination:
This is a really fun idea! I am tired of the card in a box idea but this is fresh and fun! Also, easier to do and oh so easy to customize to the individual, male or female. Thanks for showing us since I didn’t go to convention.
SUPER CUTE!!!
Hi Lyssa…
Thanks so much for sharing your great ideas! I love these. And thanks for all the work you put into your blog. I’m a regular “stalker”!! Brenda
