I'm using up all kinds of fun papers for my #imbringingbackhappymail challenge and I thought you might enjoy seeing what I've created so far, for this MASSIVE PROJECT! This has been so much fun–really eye-opening to me, a reminder of why I started this hobby in the first place.
I've been making the #imbringinbackhappymail cards in batches of 20 so I don't get too bored with the design–but sometimes there's a mini-batch of four or even just one that I pull together from scraps. Did I mention I have a LOT of scraps???
No matter which design they get, each of my #30daysofhappymail recipients are getting a handwritten note inside. That's actually a more audacious goal for me, because as some of you know, I have been struggling with carpal tunnel pretty badly now for about three years. So bad that I couldn't write out a card and still have feeling left in my hand to address the envelope. I woke up pretty much every single morning with completely "dead" arms, not able to blow-dry my own hair without breaks, even having to switch off hands when I drove–pretty seriously life-altering.
Well, guess what?! I finally got serious about taking the Vitamin B-Complex and extra B-6 and B-12 that my naturopath (Hi Mom!) recommended long ago, and my nerve pain has virtually disappeared in both wrists in just three months. H a l l e l u j a h ! !
Guess what I did yesterday? I filled out 37 addresses in one sitting! And guess what I did today? I wrote 37 cards in ONE sitting! I am THRILLED to be "back in the saddle" and stamping and writing out cards as fast as I can. I didn't realize how much it had affected my joy in creating and sending cards.
Here's to the second half of 2016 and a happier, healthier me–and lots more happy mail for YOU.
So glad you have found some relief Lyssa!
I love that DSP. All the cards are wonderful
So happy for your improved Carpel Tunnel and thanks for saying what you found that helps! I love your idea of sending “Happy Cards”. It’s something I do weekly and it make me happy as well. A card on the right day can be a true gift!
Lyssa – You are AWESOME! I’m so happy to hear about your nerve pain on the wane! That would certainly be awful for a stamping gal! I just don’t see how you can manage this HUGE undertaking. Don’t you have to prep for card clubs? Card clubs & events take all my extra hours. I’m looking forward to my card in the mail!
Hi Lyssa, love your happy mail cards! So bright & cheerful and a great way to use up some retired DSP. Just wondering which stamp set the “just sayin” is from?
The first and third are my favorites! so cute! I gotta get back in the saddle also! 🙂
Hi Pat! The “just sayin'” stamp is from the Crazy About You set that coordinates with the Expressions Thinlets. Hope that helps!
