Happy Wednesday, everyone! And welcome back to 31 Pages in 31 Days, my annual scrapbooking immersion blog series! There is a whole lotta inspiration goin' on here during August, and if you run out of cute stuff to look at, be sure to check in the archives for 31 more page/spread ideas for each year for the past several years. I LOVE to scrapbook!
Today's inspiration page is a carnival-inspired, candy-colored single page layout we're making in Scrapbooking Summer School this week
Flirty Flamingo is a fun new summer coral pink and I'm loving finding color combinations that show it off to the best advantage. I liked it here with some aqua and white to cool it down, some pale yellow to diffuse the warmth, and a little bit of espresso brown to ground it all. It reminds me of a fun package of carnival candy.
Suggested Color Combination:
TODAY'S TIP: Gorgeous Grunge is a particular favorite stamp set of mine for knocking off a little of that "generic-ness" from plain-colored cardstock. I used So Saffron ink in the background to rough up the base page a little, and provide a context for the headline so it wasn't just floating out there in hyperspace. Love the splatter stamp especially! You can also add interest and get rid of the shiny newness by sponging, spritzing or sanding the edges of your cardstock, if you don't have this stamp set.

I'm issuing homework every week for Scrapbooking Summer School, and their task this week is to come up with a second page for this one, using materials I give them. It's going to be a challenge, but a fun one! Can't wait to see what everyone makes. They will be sharing them on the 31 Pages in 31 Days Facebook support group, which you are more than welcome to join even if you are not able to play along right at the moment. Hope to see YOUR name pop up on the members list, very soon!
See you tomorrow for Day 11 of #31pagesin31days 2016!
This layout is simple but elegant, would match with many pictures.
I love the color blocking effect of the cardstock panels, and the color combination is very carnival like!
Beautiful, Lyssa! Flirty Flamingo is my fav new color this year, and it is nice to see how it coordinates with these colors! Have fun with your challenge!
Love the color combo!!!
Gorgeous Grunge is my fall back stamp set as well.
