Welcome to Day Sixteen of 31 Pages in 31 Days, Song of My Heart Stamper's exclusive blog series and challenge!
Every day in August I am posting a scrapbook page or spread for your inspiration, as we strive towards our goal of getting 31 total pages done for the month. The pages people are making for the challenge can be viewed on the Facebook 31 Pages in 31 Days support group.
We are officially halfway through the month already. is it just me or is it going really, really fast? Today's inspiration page is a Fourth of July layout for those parade pictures. You could easily add a second page if you had more photos to use up.
I tried out the fun new Dapper Denim color for my red, white and blue combination and I think it worked well. I might pair it with Cherry Cobbler next time instead of Real Red. It's so fun to have a fresh infusion of In Colors each year to stir up my mojo and get out of the ruts I fall into. You can see this year's new colors here.
TODAY'S TIP: Do you recognize the lined journalling paper I used? It's actually a pin-striped pattern from the Floral Boutique Designer Series Papers! I cut across the "grain" to make 3×6-inch journalling spaces for this page and it worked really well! You don't have to have a journalling stamp, cards or tracing template–any striped paper will do. If the stripe is too wide and dark, use a white gel pen instead of colored ink. You can even alternate every other line. Fun!
The headline for this fun layout is a combination of a Thinlet die-cut for the Big Shot, "happy," and numbers from the Number of Years stamp set and coordinating Framelit die cuts. Do you know the difference between a Thinlet and a Framelit? I just found this out myself not too long ago! Thinlets just cut something out. The "thin" just refers to the fact that it's not a big steel-ruled die. Framelits, on the other hand, "frame" a stamped image and cut it out. Cool, huh? It's the little things!

Great parade picture layout. Now I just need to FIND those parade pictures so I can put them on it.
what a great patriotic layout. dapper denim is a great blue, and I love how you’ve scattered silver accents throughout the page.
Absolutely adore this layout! Will be sharing with my scrapbooking friends next time we get together! Will be going backwards to see all the rest of the layouts. So far behind on emails. Thanks for sharing!
Love the Dapper Denim! Thanks for highlighting so many new in-colors this month! It is great to see more of them.
Very nice tribute to the holiday!
I’m loving the new blue!
Love the patriotic feel!! Great color combos.
This is a great layout for adapting for other occasions. I love how you used the designer paper for journaling. I can’t wait to make this layout!
