Welcome to Song of My Heart Stampers' blog series, 31 Pages In 31 Days! Every day during the month of August, I'm posting a single or double page scrapbook layout for your inspiration. YOU CAN PLAY ALONG with us by challenging yourself to complete thirty-one pages, too, and posting your progress online using the hashtag #31pagesin31days. Hope to see your work out there in cyberspace, very soon!
Today's pages use more of that glorious resist-technique paper…
I can't wait to make this with the Scrapbooking Summer School participants! We are all BIG fans of the new Irresistibly Floral specialty Designer Series Papers now. With the new sponge brayers, it's easy to cover a large piece with ink in a short amount of time, like I did here for the left hand page and a matching strip on the right. This dahlia pattern is my favorite in the whole pack so I was saving it for a page with a lot of ka-pow!
Do you recognize the other print? The tiny geometric dots are from the Pop of Pink paper pack (say THAT ten times fast!) The color is actually Melon Mambo, but it's so tiny that I've used it here with Watermelon Wonder and it coordinates just fine.
Super bummed that I smeared the white gel pen ink accents on my flowers, before it dried. I'm trying to think if it bothers me enough to replace that piece! Probably should, otherwise it will bother me every time I look at this album, right?

I love how different the spreads have been from day to day, and today is no exception. I am getting some great ideas for different color combos for my inspiration file, not to mention the great layout ideas. Have a great day!
Hi Lyssa, I say let the smudge stay… It looks like the flower is swaying in the breeze. Pretty colors, and I continue to be captivated by “Helping Me Grow…” Such a pretty set! Thanks for sharing your love of the pre-embossed paper again… So beautiful!
Oh My Goodness!
My favorite so far!
Love the flowers, DSP, color choices!
Thanks so much for the inspiration!
Love the look of the Irresistibly! I’m ordering it on my next SU order.
You make THE BEST scrapbook pages!
Keep the smudgey flowers, they are a record of a moment in time – just like your page will be. Gorgeous layout too.
Replacing the smudged flowers seems like a lot of work on a very pretty layout. Why not add a couple of butterflies to cover the smudges?
The color choices on this page are great. I also like the angled rectangles. Very effective.
