Here we are at the last day of 31 Pages in 31 Days 2019 edition! Wowsers, that went fast. Although I am ready to move on… it's my favorite season (fall) and Christmas cards and craft fairs are calling… I probably won't have time to really scrap again until the new year. But at least a month of immersion scrapping has put me ahead of the game, with WAY more done in just one month than the whole rest of the year combined!
My camera did not seem to like this page, so I apologize for the slight blur. I think it just did not know where to focus with all those butterflies. My son Dan and I went in together on a fancy DSLR and I am hoping to learn some tricks and techniques for better photography this fall, however! And maybe I'll be back in the video business, too. That is, if my budding cinematographer lets me have my time with it : )
This layout is for my brightly growing girl… so fun to watch Natalie becoming herself, gaining confidence in her choices and opinions, refining her sense of style. I'm learning too–to step back, to wait for her to express her thoughts before adding mine, to allow her to learn natural consequences. It is a sweet space for both of us and I pray it continues.
Scrapbooking is really personal, isn't it? We think about our kids, reminisce over the photos, pray for our family members, think about how events played out, reaffirm our relationships… all while expressing our creative gifts… if that is not art, what is?
Well, this is our very last day of this year's scrapbooking challenge! Are we ready to learn the final page count?` In 31 days I made 48 pages!! That feels great. Thanks for joining me on the journey!
This is so striking, Lyssa! I love the glamour of it. You are so right about the thoughts one has while scrapbooking – it’s so fun to reminisce while working on a loyout. And I love your thoughts about Natalie – we did that/are doing that with our girls and it is a JOY to see God working in their lives!
