31 Pages in 31 Days: You & Me Spread

2015 31 Pages in 31 Days SOMHS header-001

Day Four of 31 Pages in 31 Days, Song of My Heart Stampers' annual blog challenge, is in the books! Today's inspiration page is a double-page layout that we are going to make in Scrapbooking Summer School. It uses a fun new color combo of Mint Macaroon, Tip Top Taupe and Delightful Dijon. paired with crisp white, it's cool yet summery, and not overly feminine.

TIP: I often use a little trick to get these cool Polaroid-style frames on my pages. I cut rectangles of cardstock, then use a Square Framelit with my Sizzix Big Shot to make an opening that leaves more margin on the bottom edge than on the other three sides. I'll write the photo caption right on the frame just like they used to do way back when. Fun and quick way to add a little upscaled vintage feel to the page.

You and Me Spread Details
I used the stamps from three different sets for this spread: Gorgeous Grunge, for the inky spatters that help break up the white space on the base pages; Perfect Pennants, for the "you & me" stamp; and Project Life: Remember This, for the "life is good" sentiment. I love having my stamp closet at my disposal for scrapbooking. Stamps are sooooo versatile.
