31 Pages in 31 Days: Joy in Ordinary Things

Welcome to Day Three of Song of My Heart Stampers' exclusive blog challenge, 31 Pages in 31 Days! I LOVE immersive scrapbooking–it's the only time I ever seem to get anything accomplished!–and the real-life approach to averaging just one page or spread per day means it's a realistic bite that will chomp away at that great big goal of a completed scrapbook you can be proud of.

I promised a sneak peek of some of the pages we are doing in my local Scrapbooking Summer School classes, so here you go! I can't wait for our first class this Thursday night.

As part of the materials received for Scrapbooking Summer School, participants get a Project Life by Stampin' Up accessory pack, which they will use throughout the four classes. I chose the Moments Like These pack and had a ball coming up with multiple pages using the fun specialty assortment of cards, embellishments, washi tape and wooden accents. They are going to fall in love with the PLxSU packs!

I took the color scheme for this spread from the accessory pack, which is Mint Macaroon, Basic Black, Watermelon Wonder, Whisper White and Tip Top Taupe. It also has a fabulous gold foil finish on some of the cards, which is showing up like lime green in these photos–sorry about that!

So many people don't realize you can use the Project Life products in traditional scrapbooking! The cards are awesome for patterned accents and journalling prompts, and they can be combined in endless ways. Used apart from the official Project Life page protectors, they are even more versatile, and one card collection will take you a LONG ways, carrying the theme throughout an entire album.
