Welcome to Day One of 31 Pages in 31 Days! Every year I run a challenge in August for scrapbookers everywhere–create a page a day for one month. I use a method I call “immersion scrapbooking” which is basically LEAVING THE MESS OUT for one month and crafting your heart out without guilt. At the end of the month you clean it all up and put it away, but for one month you scrapbook whenever you have a free moment. Just sit down and do SOMETHING towards those books.
Because there’s a time limit on the mess, you have permission to make it–even if there’s other things you really “oughtta” be doing. You have 31 days to do this thing you love in your life that you never seem to get to do otherwise. At the end of the month you’ll be satisfied to put it away and focus on back to school and your normal work routine–but you’ll be better for having had this month of creativity and relaxation.
That’s my philosophy of squeezing in scrapbooking in our modern world! Maybe it will work for you? I hope you’ll take the challenge–make the mess–and enjoy the month!

To help you reach that magic goal of 31 Pages in 31 Days, I’ll be posting an inspiration spread every day this month! And here’s our first layout of 2023. I like this one because it incorporates 6×6 paper which can be hard to use sometimes. And I had an excuse to use the adorable Scottie dog punch I got off the Clearance Rack last month!
- Colors: Basic Black, Basic White, Sweet Sorbet
- Papers: Delightfully Eclectic 12×12 (black and white), Sweet Sorbet 6×6
- Stamps and Inks: Happy Tails (retired) and Tuxedo Black Memento

I’m so looking forward to spending the month scrapping with you! Leave me a comment and let me know if you’re up to the challenge! See you back here tomorrow for Day Two.
PS: the BEST way of making sure you don’t miss a day is to subscribe to blog updates! Then each post will be delivered via email.
