31 Pages in 31 Days: barnwood and burlap

SSS 2020-001

Hey scrappers! Are you just in hog heaven looking at all the inspiration during 31 Pages in 31 Days? I love it!!! It's been awesome to have a chance to cut into some papers I've been longing to play with. I hope you're enjoying yourself and pinning ideas for the next time you get to have a little crafty session all to yourself.

Today's inspiration layout features barnwood and burlap, with a feminine touch of lace and light blue. It would be perfect for a barn wedding, but you can also use it for fall photos, a Thanksgiving gathering, or to showcase your front porch decorations.

PRO TIP: wooden-look papers can be very heavy and too directional by themselves, so I seldom use whole sheets when I scrap with it. When you cut board-patterned paper, pay attention to the way the grain will run and make use of it to flow or interrupt the flow, as needed.

Note… I used a light blue embossed vellum for the background of this layout which is no longer available. It is layered over 12×12 Whisper White to reduce the transparency. You can sub in Pool Party 12×12 for the same effect.

Ready to recreate this layout at home? Here's what you'll need to order:
