31 Pages in 31 Days

Feeling sad today as last night we said goodbye to the Scrapbooking Summer School attendees for another year! I look forward to SSS all year long and I'm sorry to see it over for 2014. We had a great group this year and we all really enjoyed scrapping and learning together. We're planning to keep the 31 Pages in 31 Days Facebook group open and continue adding to it, inspiring each other, brainstorming layout fixes, and sharing tips. You are welcome to join us there any time.

31 Pages in 31 Days is still going, however! And here's some inspiration for Day 29. Almost there!

Thankfulquiltspread

Our final two-page spread for Scrapbooking Summer School was this Thankful Quilt layout. Doesn't it look just like a quilt your grandma or great-grandma might have made from scraps of this and that material? I used all kinds of different papers for this one–Confetti Celebration, Flowerpot, the 2014-16 In Color Backgrounds papers, and solid cardstocks to pull it all together. Thankfulquiltspreaddetails

I added some country-style wooden elements, a Mossy Meadow ribbon bow, some buttons and some stitch-like paper piercing to add to the homey feel, and a little Whisper White Craft Ink sponging to soften the edges of the squares a bit. The class attendees will be able to use this versatile layout with just about any amount of photos they choose to insert in the quilt squares.

The headline and journalling box for this page is a fabulous new single stamp from the 2014 Holiday Catalog, I'm Thankful For, and you really need to see the adorable way it was used on a card on page 42. If you didn't receive your Holiday Catalog in the mail this past week, or you don't have a demonstrator providing you with up-to-date catalogs, please drop me a line and I'll pop one in the mail for you. That way you can see all the fun new things that Stampin' Up has come up with, and great solutions to make your holiday handmade.

See you back here tomorrow for Day 30 of 31 Pages in 31 Days! We're rounding the finish line now!
