31 Pages in 31 Days

Happy Sunday! I hope you are having a restful day today with family and friends, getting recharged physically, mentally and spiritually for the coming week! Does school start pretty soon for you guys? My two are hitting the books beginning this Wednesday. They will be in fifth and seventh grade. Can't believe that! When I started  with Stampin' Up they were one and a half and three and a half. Crazy! You won't believe how big they are when I post the traditional "first day of school" front porch pictures this week.

Welcome back to 31 Pages in 31 Days, a celebration of scrapbooking here at Song of My Heart. We're on Day 24 already, so this horse is headed for the barn! As they left last week, my Scrapbooking Summer School attendees were bemoaning the fact that this week is our very last class. Boo hooo! We all agreed we could keep right on going year-round.

If you know me at all you know I LOVE symmetrical-ness, so this 12×12 double-page spread makes me pretty happy between the nice straight lines and clear borders, the bright colors, and the mixed patterns. I think the only thing that would make me any happier was if it was monochromatic and used glitter!

This two page color-block layout is really versatile because the headline, taken from a laser-cut Project Life by Stampin' Up card, can suit just about any activity for any age group. Everything in life is an adventure, if you have the right attitude and some imagination! I lead a pretty adventurous life for a Wisconsin stay-at-home-mom, let me tell you! Adventure is where you find it.

Several other pieces on the pages also came from Project Life's Everyday Adventure Card Collection, including the wooden elements, the patterned banners, and the little hearts. I love that so much of the Project Life Accessory Pack is self-adhesive–anything that saves me money, even small amounts!

  1. This is really nice, as well. Sheesh – you make me wish I had more events to scrapbook. I am trying to get up the courage to just make some pre-made pages, but that’s really hard for my brain to wrap itself around!

  2. I love this page. You have made them so easy to recreate. I have not been able to keep up doing a page a day because I also like to put my pictures on and journal. But I have saved all of the ideas and will be able to work on them later. Thanks!

  3. Lyssa, I have really enjoyed this series. I am not a scrapbooker. I don’t know why but two blank sheets of 12 x 12 intimidates me for some reason. Your ideas have been simple, yet beautiful. Thanks for sharing!
