Sunshine is on the way! I love the theme of today's inspiration layout. We're having historic rains here in Wisconsin (in August???) and we're all praying for sunshine and some nice dry days right now. It's been pretty gloomy, so it's good to head to the craft room and play with pretty papers for a few hours…

The headline on this page uses the negative of the die-cut. Talk about efficient use of scraps! It doesn't work with all words or all die-cuts, but this one worked perfectly.
This spread also has a cute memorabilia pocket for ticket stubs or love notes or something precious to commemorate. It's easy to do with the Mini Envelopes and a couple of brads to make a French twine closure.

Here's a fun paper-saving tip for you: the strips on the left hand page are 2 x 10 inches. So if you cut 2 x 12 inch strips to begin with, and chop off the two inches from the end, you'll get a cute 2×2 square in each of the four patterns of paper you used. Those can decorate the right hand page to bring the color and pattern over to the second layout.
