Wow, we're 1/3 of the way through August already! Don't tell my kids and hubby… they'll not thank you for bursting their bubble. Mike starts back at inservice at the university next week, and the kids start on the 22nd. But until then we're blithely ignoring the calendar and having FUN! Which includes scrapbooking until my eyeballs won't stay open anymore : )
Today's inspiration layout for the 31 Pages in 31 Days challenge is just a quickie inspired by the gorgeous papers and coordinating stamp set in the Share What You Love suite. This is probably my favorite of all the new papers this year. My color scheme is So Saffron, Mint Macaron, Tranquil Tide, Sweet Sugarplum and Rich Razzleberry.
The patterned paper is pretty busy, so I stamped the flowers from Love What You Do in So Saffron ink on So Saffron cardstock for a more subtle, tone-on-tone look. See how well the new Pink Rhinestone Gems look on pink or purple papers? Gorgeous.
Here's what you'll need to recreate this page at home!
Ok, confession time… I have become a sequin fan. And I always hated them before. What changed my mind? Stampin' Up came out with pre-adhesived (adheezed? adhereded?) sequins you just stick on like a rhinestone or pearl. It is SO easy and no-mess, and adds such a cute look, that it completely won me over. They are the perfect nearly flat embellishment, and they come in sets of five colors, so there's always one that coordinates with whatever you're making. Well done, SU!
Don't forget to check out Day Eight and enter the weekly giveaway, if you haven't already done so. I'll see you back here tomorrow for Day Eleven! Please spread the word to all your scrapbooking friends, and join us on the official 31 Pages in 31 Days Facebook group for more freebies, scrapping talk and pages posted by the challenge participants. See you there!
Once again, beautiful and inspiring!
Definitely adheezed!!!!
