Broadway bound paper Stampn Up scrapbook layout spread birthday Sizzix 12x12 Lyssa

Today's spread is a party-hat page using the Broadway Bound papers and a great color scheme of Melon Mambo, Smoky Slate, Basic Black, Granny Apple Green and Lemon-Lime Twist. It was so fun taking this layout from two sheets of solid hot pink to a fun coordinated spread with a cute blend of patterns and plenty of photo space.

My personal favorite part of the page is this fun journaling "box" comprised of torn strips on a single mat. It's so much more fun and interesting than a solid rectangle of white would be in the same space. Designer tip: if you're short on space, use paper strips laying across your photos to save journaling room, and fit more photos on a layout.

I wish you could see the sparkle on this page…. someone needs to invent a camera or a special light that makes glitter show up better! Sparkle Glimmer Paper is a great no-mess accent for the border strips I trimmed out of a sheet of Broadway Bound patterned paper.

There we have it–tomorrow we're halfway through our challenge! See you back here for Day Fifteen. Oh and PLEASE feel free to pass this link around to your friends to enter to win the drawing. Maybe if one of them wins the 100 Papers, they'll share some with you!

  2. Can’t imagine the mess I would be in mentally trying to do 31 scrapbook pages in 31 days. I scrapped wholeheartedly for about 5 years when we had an active demo who held monthly crop nights……have my youngest child (now age 30) scrapped up to January of his senior year in high school…..next to the youngest child has a scrapbook of his baseball journey but nothing else is done (he is 33). My girls have boxes of memorabilia waiting scissors and glue ( they are 40 and 45)….In my defense, I bought the girls loads of albums, papers and tools but those haven’t been used either)…. So I think I need to win this Lyssa—it would motivate me to get going again.

  11. I read another ladies post about how much scrapbooking she has to catch up on. I am in the same predicament. I have a 40 year old, 37 year old and 4 vacation books to scrapbook . Sometimes it is just so overwhelming I just don’t know where to begin. I always have good intentions, but other things seem to have to be done first. I keep saying, “when I retire” I will get caught up. Well, thanks for the chance to win! 🙂

  25. I was a Creative Memories instructor for a few years and scrapbooked like crazy. Then I got too busy and dropped CM and scrapbooking. My grandaughter is a sophomore in high school and has no album from me!!! 🙁 Both grandsons have theirs. I MUST get back to it and OSW could be just the motivation I need. With the bonus of papers to start me off their could be hope for her album! What a great offer!

  35. I’m loving this page and especially the torn journaling strips. That is definitely an idea that I want to use on my pages. I think it would be much easier to do little one liners than a whole box. This is my first day to look at the challenge, but I’m going back to the beginning and check it all out! Thanks:)
