I can't believe how fast August is flying by! This is our last summer weekend before school starts. Hard to believe now, in the humidity, that the leaves will start changing in another month. But today's page rewinds us to July, and America's birthday celebration!
This Fourth of July layout is fun and patriotic, and another page idea for using up scrap strips. I am on a roll! My scrap bin is gonna be EMPTY by the end of the month!
Just kidding… I think that's probably and unattainable goal : ) But this is a good border idea doesn't cut into your space for photos like a complete grid of strips that would shrink the area in visual size.
I just LOVE banners and can never resist adding them to scrapbook pages. Whether they are full size or itty bitty, I just love them!
Here's the supplies my Scrapbooking Summer School participants will be using to work on these kits:

This is another fun way to break up boring journaling boxes. These are one-inch scrap strips, three in the back and two on top. Don't they make a MUCH more interesting embellishment than a plain matted rectangle? Add in the Gold Foil stars with shooting sequins and rhinestone centers, and this is a page with a lot of personality.
