Hey scrappers! Ready for today's inspiration layout? Today I have a single page that was part of the Week One homework challenge for my Scrapbooking Summer School participants. The homework for this class series is optional, but if they complete all of them, they'll automatically meet the 31 Pages in 31 Days challenge. So this is one instance where nobody lets their homework pile up! We have too much work to do this month!
The homework challenge packet contained six Memories & More cards, all black and white, and some white ribbon. They could add anything they wanted to, and pair them with any color under the sun, but had to use as many of the pieces as possible.
I paired mine with Powder Pink, some of the new Shimmer Ribbon, and the new Daisy Punch. Ooh and some lettering cut from my hoard of Blushing Bride Glimmer Paper! I miss that color.

This page makes me want to cry! We just painted over my daughter's room last week, covering up pink with white daisies that I stamped on the walls when she was just a baby.
She LOVES her new room (light aqua walls with hot pink sequined curtains and turquoise chevron bedding!) but it was HARD for me to run the roller over that last chunk of wall and cover up the daisies forever. How my hand hesitated at the last stroke of the brush! I wouldn't trade who she is now for anything, but oh, my darling pink cupcake of a baby girl… there was never anything half so precious as you.
And that, my friends, is why we scrapbook.
I hope if you've stopped, you'll start again. I hope if you're discouraged, you'll take heart. I hope if you've never tried it, you'll take up the torch. I know it costs money and takes time and messes up your space. It's worth it.
Even when it makes you cry.
Until tomorrow!
Beautiful! Can’t wait to try it with the SAB glitter paper I hid somewhere. I just have to find it! 😉
What a sweet page for a sweet memory about your daughter.
I like how you worked the Fresh Florals DSP into the borders. I’m thinking Lemon Lime Twist.
What a beautiful post about your daughter!
Such a sweet page. Love that glitter paper!
Beautiful page!
Beautiful! I used green as my background, it worked for some pictures I had!
Sweet! that’s what this page is.
