Welcome to Day Two of 31 Pages in 31 Days, 2017 edition! Our annual blog series and challenge have begun and run through the end of August. I hope you'll join me for a round of immersion scrapbooking and post your pages to the Facebook challenge support group! If you like to use Instgram, the hashtag #31pagesin31days will help you find all those posts from challenge participants.
Ready to go? Today's inspiration page is a double spread featuring Christmas presents!

Participants in my Scrapbooking Summer School 4-week class series are learning how to make this fun spread using eight 3×3 squares of patterned paper and turning them into sweet little holiday gift boxes. This technique would work on a birthday layout, too! It's quite economical as well. Make a bunch of boxes for a fun border, or make a few individual ones to use as page elements.
There are so many details on this page. Check out the Supply List… I really went to town on this one!

You can recreate these pages at home using any Designer Series Papers. This scrapbook layout is a great way to use up those small bits of patterned paper you have been hoarding. Have FUN cleaning out your ribbon scraps, too!
Loving the series? Learn something new? Leave me a comment! Each time you comment on an official 31 Pages in 31 Days blog post (for this year only; past years don't count!) you'll be entered to win a set of all of the pages we made in Scrapbooking Summer School during August. WOW!!! What a boost that would be to someone's albums, eh? Maybe it will be YOU! But it definitely won't be, if you don't leave a comment : )
Thanks for visiting Song of My Heart today! See you again tomorrow for Day Three.
I love making Christmas pages and I like how doable this one is.
Merci Lissa. C’est tellement bien expliqué et surtout en français. J’adore.
I don’t even have words to express how very much I love this layout. I just ordered that DSP so will be excited to try out the layout when my order arrives. And I love the idea about doing the same layout for a birthday….so fun and it would be awesome to experiment with different color combos too. Thank you so much for once again offering this scrapbooking series! It is something that I truly look forward to each August. I appreciate the love, hard work and care you put into your blog post.

Such a versitile layout!
Love these pages! Some of the “gifts” could be plain color coordinated paper, and then do a little bit of journaling about the photos you put on.
