Oh, funny–just typed the headline for this page and had a giggle. Day Thirteen and it happens to be a Halloween page. Spooky!!
Well, I don't believe in any of that stuff, and in fact don't "do" Halloween at all, but I know many of you LOVE it and have pictures to scrap.I have something super fun for you today! Not only is it a sneak peek of a crazy-fun PAIR of stamp sets with a coordinating punch, from the upcoming 2016 Holiday Catalog, but my BFF Penni and I collaborated on this spread!
Penni (the Halloween baby) started the whole thing when she got her new Cookie Cutter Halloween stamp set and matching Cookie Cutter Punch. It was just crazy fun to make the Mummy, Scarecrow, Vampire and Skeleton characters. Since there are four of them, it was absolutely perfect for this layout from Scrapbooker's One-Sheet Wonders Volume 1, Layout #4. That's right–just ONE sheet of patterned paper was used in the making of this two-page layout. We is thrifty girls.
PS–Don't worry, I ordered the Cookie Cutter Christmas set and will be sharing cards with it shortly! It has a Santa, a Gingerbread Man, a Reindeer, a Teddy Bear and an Eskimo Child image that all fit in the same punch. SO clever! Here's a closeup of the Halloween ones:
Aren't they hilarious? I love the little treat bags!
So you might be asking, what was Lyssa's contribution to this page? Well, after Penni did the layout and the characters, I added grunge with stamps (Timeless Textures) and ink on the Basic Gray background. Then I added white Perfect Accents and Basic Rhinestones scattered around strategically. I glittered the stamped headline lettering (Layered Letters Alphabet) with the Clear Wink of Stella pen, and did a lot of random dotting with my White Gel Pen. Some Epic Day washi tape and a little Calypso Coral twine added more texture. Then I finally quit.
It was super fun working together with Penni and we just might do it again. Leave a comment below if you think that would be fun! Maybe next time I'll start the page and SHE has to finish it!
These are just too much fun! Love how you colored the trick or treaters! Gives me ideas!
Super cute page!!!
Those are the cutest cookies!
Going to love that punch and the stamps that go with.
Thanks for sharing!
I’m with you, Lyssa… The scarecrow is darling, and I look forward to the gingerbread men, but I am not a fan of Halloween. Thanks for sharing this new set with us… I know everyone likes matching stamps and punches!
That’s a great layout! Just one page of DSP? Fantastic! And I think the grunging finishes it off perfectly!
Oh I love this. So much texture and dimension.
This is such a cute layout for Halloween! You and Penni should definitely collaborate again, since you had such fun creating this page.
This spread is absolutely darling, you and Penni did a fabulous job! I think you should definitely collaborate again, 2 creative minds are always better than one 🙂 Can’t wait to see the Christmas version of this stamp set.
I love the squares in all the different sizes! Very cute layout.
