31 Pages in 31 Days 2016: Day Nineteen

31 Pages 31 Days 2016-001

Goodness! What a week. Let me tell you, friends, you don't know how lucky you are to be seeing ANY posts this week, let alone one every single day! I hope you're enjoying all the inspiration pages I've been putting up for 31 Pages in 31 Days. It almost didn't happen this year!

But it did today! And that's ok. So here's some scrapbooky goodness for you!

Today's layout started with one of my Scrapbooker's One-Sheet Wonders basic layouts (check out my money-saving templates that use just one sheet of 12×12 patterned paper to decorate a two-page spread!) and then went on to include additional scrap strips and bits I had of Dapper Denim patterned paper. PSST: If you're playing along at home, this is Layout #18, from Volume 3.

I did not cut up anything new to make these pages except that single sheet of patterned Delightful Dijon paper. I'm pretty proud of myself for burning through the scrap bin this month! Feels great to get some of this USED UP!

Suggested Color Combination:

My Festive Flower Builder Punch needed some serious love. I've been neglecting it since poinsettia season was over, eight months ago! So I pulled it out and punched a variety of petals to assemble big poofy country flowers and leaves in different sizes.

I made great use of the embellishment and ribbon scrap bins, too. A little bit of burlap became two pennant pieces with two leftover Antique Brads… and all the flower centers are from my button box. In keeping with the "oldie but goodie" theme I used a Bible verse stamp from a VERY old set called Say it with Scripture. Just seemed to fit, as the title of the page is "An Answer to Prayer" (from the Me = Grateful set, available in wood or cling).31 pages in 31 Days Song of My Heart 2016 17b

That's all the time I have today! Can't believe the kids go back to school next week. My parents are coming for a fly-by visit, too. That's when I'm sooo glad I have a job where I am my own boss and can set my own schedule. Of course, being my own boss also means I feel like I should be able to get everything done, too : )

Take care, friends! See you tomorrow for Day TWENTY! Wow!

  1. Another fabulous 2-page spread! I love all the flower embellishments, and the buttons and brads are the perfect touches. I never would have thought of this color combination either, so another one for the color combo files! Have a great weekend – can’t believe it’s day 19 already.

  2. Thank you Lyssa so much for going through the work this year when you are not feeling up to it! Today’s layout is so beautiful, especially all embellishments . You certainly have a way with mixing items to come up with beautiful embellishments that make each layout really special.

  3. Hi Lyssa, the flowers on this page really caught my eye, and I love the buttons in the centers. It is awesome to use up scraps in such a creative way… I really admire this. And you also incorporated one of my favorite stamp sets… Me=Grateful. Fabulous font, and meaningful sentiments… I am surprised this set is not more widely used. Happy weekend and thanks for sharing your gifts with us.
