31 Pages in 31 Days 2016: Day Fifteen & 2nd Giveaway Winner!

  31 Pages 31 Days 2016-001

Happy Monday, Happy Day Fifteen, and Happy Blog Candy Day for one lucky scrapbooker!

I've drawn a name from all the comments left on the 31 Pages in 31 Days posts last week, and this person will receive the bundle below. This week we'll be doing the same, and then the fourth week we'll draw for the Grand Prize, which is this bundle PLUS MORE! Blog Candy 31 pages in 31 Days Scrapbooking Stampin Up SOMH

Drumroll please…. this week's winner is Amanda C! Please email me at Lyssa@songofmyheartstampers.com with your shipping address. Congratulations!

Today's inspiration page uses my favorite new In Color for the year, Sweet Sugarplum.

We'll be making this layout in Scrapbooking Summer School, making a gloriously inky mess, no doubt! Each of the one-inch strips of Irresistibly Floral specialty papers is sponged to customize, and then the Watercolor Wings butterflies are stamped to coordinate. I used Elegant Eggplant, Dapper Denim and Sweet Sugarplum inks for the sponging.

TODAY'S TIP: We are making great use of this fun "resist" paper during our four weeks of classes! I love how it can be any color you need it to be, so no matter what combo you are using, you always have a pattern to match. Sponging, spritzing, brayering, stamping, even direct-pad-to-paper–any application of ink works. And it's far more economical and time efficient than trying to find papers to match every single spread you want to make. If you haven't tried this paper yet, I encourage you to get a pack and have fun with it!

I'm including a complete supply list today, so you can recreate these pages at home and share your layouts with the #31pagesin31days hashtag or on the Facebook 31 Pages in 31 Days support group. You do not have to be a "Stampin' Up-only" kind of scrapbooker–it's ok! : ) and you do not have to actually be participating in the challenge this month to be a member. All scrappers and Project Lifers are welcome. Hope to see your name on the roster very soon!
