Welcome to Song of My Heart Stampers' blog series, 31 Pages In 31 Days! Every day during the month of August, I'll be posting a single or double page scrapbook layout for your inspiration. YOU CAN PLAY ALONG with us by challenging yourself to complete thirty-one pages, too, and posting your progress online using the hashtag #31pagesin31days. Hope to see your work out there in cyberspace, very soon!
Today's day eleven…. and our inspiration layout is a two-page navy and white spread that uses my favorite Designer Series Papers in the catalog–Floral Boutique.
I really like the flow of this spread. The eye starts in the lower left corner and travels in a diagonal line up and off to the right, landing on the photo mat with the "you are loved (a lot)" headline. I used my faithful Grateful Bunch stamp set and coordinating Blossom Punch for the theme on this one.
TODAY'S TIP: The base pages aren't showing up very well in the photos, but they have a white, tone-on-tone lattice embossing on them. They are from the Irresistibly Floral specialty paper pack. Typically you'd sponge or spritz them, but few people realize they can also be used plain for a more subtle look. There are several different florals, a great stripe, a dotted pattern, and this beautiful lattice in the assortment.
Blue and white is just so elegant together, isn't it? And these Floral Boutique patterns, handpainted by one of the talented artists from Stampin' Up, are charming. It was easy to pull the spread together in short order, with all these pretty elements to pair up.
I'm excited to make these pages tonight with my local Scrapbooking Summer School participants! Wish you could come, too! But here's a complete supply list so you can gather everything you need to make this layout at home.

Hey Lyssa this layout is soooo beautiful. Navy and white are lovely together and can be used for a lot of different things. Love your blog.

I love that floral district DSP, and you did a great job showcasing all the different patterns without it looking busy at all. Great tip on creating a layout that guides the eyes right across from left to right. Another beautiful spread!
Love that paper too! I don’t know how you come up with so many layouts!
Hi Lyssa, I love the monochromatic look of this paper and how you incorporated it into the layout! I can see why it is your favorite! Nice details added… That’s the beauty of using one main color… Every embellishment matches so nicely! Well done. I am inspired to make some cards, following your example… Thanks!
The blue and white looks so elegant
! Love it.
Oh Lyssa!
The blue layout is lovely!
Not being a scrap booker I have to ask…
The big blue spaces are for photos?
Thanks for sharing!
I do not scrapbook but I like to look at your layouts. They give me ideas for cards. This paper packet is one of my favorites and I already am inspired to pull the packet out and make something. That lace looking stamp is really cool and combine it with the flowers an twine – a card is made! Thanks for the inspiration!
I love the white areas with the lace stamping on them. What a great idea!
Very pretty pages. I like the stamp set a lot – the flowers and lace look lovely together.
Lyssa, this layout is my favorite one of all. I simply love Navy and White. Just Beautiful!!!!
Thank you for sharing with us every day. God has given you a great talent. Keep going.
. I have been making cards for years and decided recently to give Scrapbooking a try. Have been using some project life pages and think I will be incorporating in some standard pages. Sure have been enjoying your beautiful pages. Thanks for sharing.
Hi Paula! Great question. Yes, the navy mats are for photos. I post my layouts without pictures so that people can see the “bones” of the pages without being distracted by my photos and journalling. The emphasis is on what YOU can do–we already know what I can do : )
I already ordered that navy DSP paper, I never thought I ‘d like that but it is a beautiful paper and add so much charm to cards and scrapbooking. Love the scrapbook sheets you did, great ideas 🙂
I just love your site. Thank you for sharing your wonderful idea, I really appreciate them. 🙂
Your layouts are absolutely beautiful. Need to kickstart my mojo.
Love the beautiful papers on this one.
I love the blue and the quilting work. I think I have to steal this layout.
Love this layout and the papers. I have been on the fence about getting them but you have convinced me.
