Welcome back to the 31 Days of Doilies summer blog series! Today's doilies are on a cute little 8×8 scrapbook page of my brother Josh's family. You can send up a quick prayer for him today as he is in St. Kitts on a missions survey trip. My other brother, Jeremiah, has the honor of baptizing his oldest daughter tonight. I am so proud of my brothers and their God-honoring lives! And all my nieces and nephews are just as CUTE as can be… always more fun to scrapbook when you have adorable photos to show off, huh?
As I mentioned before, the laser-cut doilies on the one sheet of Flirtatious speciality DSP are a percentage of Pumpkin Pie (the other sheet is Melon Mambo) but I really like them with Peach Parfait, myself. So that's what I used for my background, with double mats of Melon Mambo and Whisper White.
What I really like best on this page (beside the cute cousins!) is the letters. I cut them on my Big Shot and then ran them through the Square Lattice embossing folder. I adhered them to the page with mini glue dots, and then added Crystal Effects. CE is always worth the time it takes to dry!
I also embossed the little heart 24-7 image (recognize it? It's hand-cut from the Pretty Postage set) in Melon Mambo embossing powder and put it as the flower center, just as a change from the usual button or punch I often use.
We are in the countdown now! Five more days of doily projects featuring the versatile and cute Flirtatious Suite. Click here to go to my shopping website and quit pretending you are going to get by without these stamps! Mommy needs a little back-to-school something, too!
