31 Pages in 31 Days: keep taking photos

SSS 2020-001

You guys! It's Day 29 already! This year's series has sped by SO fast. Thanks for joining me for 31 Pages in 31 Days this August.

Today's inspiration layout is for an anniversary, featuring a delicate color combo of Whisper White, Gray Granite, Seaside Spray and Misty Moonlight blue.

I felt so thrifty after I finished this spread, because I used up every last bit of my Peony Garden paper pack except the little torn-off ends of the strips on the right hand layout. I don't know if it's weird or what, but I LOVE using up the last bit of stuff. Anything–the last dimensional on the sheet, the end of a roll of Stampin' Seal, you name it. It's very satisfying to me for some reason.

I think maybe because it's so tidy. All the loose ends are gone, the packaging gets tossed, the way is clear to open a brand new packet of whatever. Or maybe it's just because I'm from the frugal Midwest and I feel righteous when I don't have any waste.

I know, weird. But you love me anyway, right??!

Here's hoping we'll all be able to celebrate these anniversaries (and weddings and babies and vacations and reunions) in safety next year. As a scrapbooker, I've thought about the dearth of photos that would normally be taken during this time. Family history and community memories that should have been documented. Photos of people or pets who might not be around this time next year.

Do what you can to keep taking photos, friends! Even if you don't have time to scrapbook right now. You'll be so glad you did.
