Stop #16 on the Parade of Papers Blog Hop!

Blog Hop fixed logo ETA: The tour closed at midnight on Sunday, so the links have been disabled.

Welcome to stop #16 on the Parade of Papers Blog Hop! If you're in the middle of your tour, you probably came from viewing the adorable Good Morning Sunshine papers on Twila Davis' blog.  If this is your FIRST stop on the tour, never fear–you can start at any point and come around again full circle all weekend. The links begin at 8:00 Eastern and go down at midnight on May 10th, so bookmark any interesting sites and visit them again later at your leisure!
We chose as our theme all the double-sided patterned papers in the
Stampin' Up Spring/Summer Idea Book & Catalog, and my assignment
was the luscious Raspberry Tart (see all patterns here). I had so much fun playing with all
this pink and its delicious accents of Kiwi Kiss and Rose Red. After the
blog tour, I will be posting about each individual project, but for the tour, here is an overview of a few of the fun
things I have made with Raspberry Tart. Enjoy!

I made the logo for this blog tour, if you couldn't tell! I punched out squares to make a faux pinwheel–look for my tutorial after the hop is over. It goes together so easily and makes a great quilt-themed card when you add faux stitching. I'll also have dahlia fold instructions for that pretty, fluffy flower on the right. You can easily make the other two cards with Baroque Motifs stamps and sponges. The lower left one uses the white gel pen to accent the flourish–love that!

Isn't my baby cute? This page was a snap to put together. The colors all came from the Raspberry Tart DSP (my favorite print out of the pack) and the embellishments are just butterflies die-cut with my new Big Shot, layered, and tied with a dab of Pretty in Pink taffeta ribbon. There's hidden journalling on a pull-out tag underneath the photo mat, too. In years to come, she can read how mushy her momma was when she was making this page for her girl. Sweet!

This is a fun circle handbag made with the new Circle Scissor Plus from Stampin' Up and an ordinary paper lunch bag. It makes a great teacher appreciation gift when you fill it with tiny 3×3 or 4×4 cards and envelopes! I love that size of card because you can just use up all your scraps. They go together in a flash because when you use DSP, you don't have to worry over color choices or motifs–everything coordinates perfectly. I'll have instructions for this easy bag after the blog tour is over next week.

Last but not least of my Raspberry Tart projects is this name frame I made for my house. It features the motto from Convention 2007, when I consider my career as a Stampin' Up demonstrator really took flight.
I found a glass-backed frame in the clearance aisle at Walmart, sandwiched my paper between the glass and attached my embellishments and chipboard letters with mini glue dots, so I can change out the saying seasonally if I want. The letters are cut from chipboard AND DSP at the same time, using my amazing Big Shot! Love that thing!
Leave a comment below INCLUDING your email and let me know which of my projects was your favorite, and I'll enter your name in a drawing to win a FREE Flight of the Butterfly stamp set!  The winner will be posted on Monday morning.
That's it from me…Thanks for visiting! If you're done at this stop, you'll be heading next to Melina Bischel's blog. Enjoy her take on the Sweet Always papers! And don't forget to visit us at Stampin' Addicts–a positive and fun place to share our love of papercrafting.

It’s hard to pick just one favorite… I love the scrapbook page (Natalie is such a pretty girl!) and the circle hand bag is such a neat idea that anyone would love to get as a gift… but I think the project that popped out at me on my first look through was the Dream Big framed art.
