Stampin’ in a Winter Wonderland

Swap cards are getting cranked out by the batch here in the SOMHS stamp room, in preparation for Leadership Conference 2013! After Thursday's fifteen plus inches of snow and today's 12 degree temps, I'm ready to head for Orlando right now! I remember that last time our conference was held in Orlando, there was a seventy-degree swing from the Orlando airport to the Milwaukee one. A couple of days of sandals and short-sleeves sounds good to me!

This card came about while I was playing with the new Pop-Up Posies Designer Kit, which I mentioned in yesterday's post. The TAGS in this kit are just awesome–pre-cut and embossed Crumb Cake/Kraft cardstock pieces. They don't have a pre-punched hole, so you can use them in either direction. As soon as I saw them I thought the tag would make a fabulous focal point on a card. So I made this swap card with The Open Sea stamp set.

It also has a couple of other SNEAK PEEK items from the 2013 Occasions Catalog (live on January 2nd!). Can you spot them? The first is brand new Designer Series Papers from the Print Poetry "stack," a 6.5×4.5 pad with 48 sheets of patterned papers. I loved how the dark paisley print added an Old English flair to the card. The other sneak peek item is our new Natural Trim, a flax and cotton blend ribbon that adds a great vibe to masculine, nautical or naturalistic cards.

I'm so excited for these new products!! I can't wait for the Occasions Catalog to start. Yesterday I spent quite a lot of time designing for January workshops and events–I love my job! But don't forget if there is something you wanted from the 2012 Holiday Catalog, you need to get it now! Email me if you have questions about what's staying around and what is retiring.

Wishing you lots of papercrafting time over the holiday!
