Here's a fun one for ya if you liked those Five Petal Flower punch art poinsettias from the flower pot card last week…this one features a totally cool background crimping technique shown to me by my downline and friend Cathy B.
All you do is take your background piece–in this case Whisper White–fold in all the corners towards the middle, and run the whole thing through the crimper. It fits just fine and isn't too hard to turn, never fear. And then when you unfold the paper, you get all these neat crimps running in different directions and everyone is like, "how did you DO that?"
I sponged mine a dab to bring out the crimping texture, arranged my poinsettias on top, and the piece de resistance was a Modern Label punch with my sentiment from Warm Words, attached with dimensionals in a wavy slope instead of just plain flat. I really like that look and I feel like this element "made" the card.
And of course, the whole thing got a shimmer spray bath… because it's just what I do! I am almost halfway through my gigantic bottle of rubbing alcohol. And, for the first time in my history of being a Stampin' Up demo, I am considering ordering not one or two but ten or twenty extra bottles of Champagne Gold, lest they ever quit making it. I am that serious. Order some ASAP, because I am going to cause it to backorder. I'm sorry for all the rest of ya'll, but I cannot live without it. Consider yourselves warned!
This is a beautiful card!
