Oooh, my boxes arrived today and I have LOTS of new goodies to show you! Since UPS came earlier than expected, I have already had time to make some cards–so here's the first run at things!
Being a total coffee junkie, I of course ordered the cute new Morning Cup set and matching wheel first thing on July 1st. I was actually so excited about the set I forgot to use the wheel on these cards, but I'll get around to it eventually! These first two were done with Poppy Parade, one of the new In Colors, and the hostess level one In Color DSP Pack (!!!). So pleased to have double-sided papers in the In Colors.
Notice the cool new Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border punch? LOVE it! I actually used it a little different than it is designed–you're only seeing half of it… will have to do a whole post just on that punch later.
Here's some done in Concord Crush, another of the new In Colors. HEY NOW… what's that you say? What's on the teacups? It's Smooch! I ordered some of this just so I could figure out what it was in case one of you asked me about it. Turns out it is NOT nail polish in Stampin' Up's colors… it's a really cool accent paint (I got the pearlized and the iridescent top coat ones). They're just awesome for adding a little highlight or a dash of shimmer to your stamped images! I'm going to be ordering the rest of the colors now that I see how fun they are.
Did a dab of watercoloring on these Marina Mist-colored ones. Early Espresso, funnily enough, was the brown I used for all of these cards, BTW. So fun to crack open totally brand new ink pads! And the Morning Cup set is perfect for stamping backgrounds, with it's variety of super cute cups and pots.
That's new ribbon, there, too! There's some fun & sporty stitched ribbon in the In Colors this year (although I really miss the polka dots) in addition to the new tiny taffeta ones, and a whole bunch of other new trims. I will be pulling together a "Ribbon Share To End All Ribbon Shares" here shortly! MUST. HAVE. IT. ALL!!!!
Check back tomorrow as I tackle the owl punch and try to refrain from bling-ing up my entire stamp room with the new stick-on rhinestones. Eeek!

I love what you did with this set! I can’t wait to get mine. Thanks so much for the inspiration! But I didn’t order some of the other new fun toys (um tools) that you used, so might have to add those to my list!
