A one-layer Christmas card that's also elegant? It can be done! I used the Dashing Deer set (minus the Framelits this time) to create a flat one-layer card using Thick Very Vanilla for the base, two strips of Gold Foil for gleam, and a little accent banner of Tranquil Tide. I love how the richness of the Merry Merlot pattern on the big deer looks with the neutral Crumb Cake ink on the little one. I set this up on my Stamparatus and had a set of 20 done in no time flat!

You may appreciate fancier cards, but I can tell you that the cards that get appreciated MOST are the ones that actually make it in the mailbox! If fancy and complicated is what's holding you back from getting them done, this year, do yourself a favor and pick a simpler design. It's not about the card itself, after all, right? As much as we cardmakers tend to try to make it : )
I like that you ‘just stamped’ rather than using a frame lit. I’m retired and cannot possibly afford all those frame lits. Thanks for the simplicity of this card.
