Last minute card

Just before Friday's workshop last week, I went to cut the final of the three projects we would be making, and decided it just didn't suit the hostess at all (Hi Brenda!). So with half an hour to spare, I designed and prepped a new card using the 2012 Occasions Mini "Mixed Bunch" stamp set and the new Blossom punch. Thankfully, everyone loved it! Now I can't wait to share it at my clubs this week!

The colors are Island Indigo, Pool Party and Lucky Limeade, and it's like a little breath of summer in the middle of our chilly-but-dry February. We used the Sale A Bration free reward choice ribbon, and Island Indigo Baker's Twine for the easy Spirelli technique (free photo tutorial here). The sentiments came from the Loving Thoughts stamp set (also in the Occasions Mini Catalog) which I am just loving for not only card making but also scrapbooking.

Here's essentially the same card, but this time I just wrapped the Baker's Twine directly across the whole scallop circle (not really a technique) which made it kind of look like flower petals. Super cute and simple. I can't wait to try this card with some other color schemes.

Thanks again for all the birthday wishes! I had a wonderful birthday "week" (actual date: 15th) and am feeling roundly and soundly spoiled rotten. I am so thankful for all of you. Out of all the incredible blessings I have received through Stampin' Up, your friendships are at the very tippity-top of the long list!

I Love Stampin' Up!

  1. Hee hee! I feel famous again! Thanks!
The card is gorgeous…of course we loved it! Theresa did, too. And she was proud that I didn’t deviate on the cards I made for her!
    Have a spectacular day!
