Messing around a little more with the new Scallop Oval Frame die and that yummy Concord Crush color… Here I sponged around the edges of the inside oval, stamped the piece with the cake image from Fun And Fast Notes, and then replaced it into the frame. Then I placed the whole thing so that it will be cut off on the edge of the card. Lastly, I took the finished card and embossed the front using the Elegant Boquet Textured Impressions folder. A little different take on the Inset Embossing Technique (photo tutorial here).
This one is a more subtle tone-on-tone look for the frame. The image (also from Fun & Fast Notes) is stamped directly on the cardfront and the Scallop Oval Frame piece was textured with the Perfect Polka Dots folder and then layered on. If you wanted it to pop out more, you could sponge the frame, or get it up on dimensionals.
