Hello: featured Sale-A-Bration Set of the Week

The colors on this card make me SO happy! Never mind that as I write this, it's four degrees and dropping. This card makes me think of sunshine, sunglasses, and fruity drinks sitting poolside. I'm actually going to be DOING that next week, I'm delighted to say! My dear friend and Stampin' Up assistant Penni and I are going on our long-awaited girl's trip.

If you remember, she was supposed to be my guest on the Stampin' Up trip to Hawaii last May, but the Lord allowed a family health problem to sideline all those plans. We finally got ourselves together and we are going to celebrate her fifth anniversary as my right-hand-helper (now five and a HALF years!) down in Florida next week. I can't wait! Bring on the sunshine!

I shared several samples of this cute new stamp set (which you can ONLY get for FREE, click here for deets!) in a soft, subtle color scheme in my first post showcasing this Sale A Bration favorite, so I wanted to show you how awesome it looks in bold, bright colors, too! I used Bermuda Bay, Tangelo Twist and Daffodil Delight along with Whisper White and a little accent of Pool Party and Pear Pizzazz on my banner. Oh and Silver Glimmer Paper on the small Banner Punch… how could I forget that?

TIP: While I was messing around with the layout, on my messy desk as usual, my paper got stuck in the hole created when I'd punched out a 2.5-inch circle (which I ended up not even using). I loved how it looked, so I did it again on purpose this time, and layered them all together with dimensionals. Kind of a fun new way to layer your mats! I'll have to try this again and see what else looks good stuck into a punched opening!

The sweet little icons in this stamp set were designed to sit on top of the "e" or the "o" in the main "hello" image. Isn't that cool? Just another way Stampin' Up art designers seem to know what we need before we even know ourselves.
