Easter Message: He is Risen Indeed

Easter He is Risen Indeed Lilies Palm Sunday Old Rugged Cross Ressurection card Stampin Up

Happy first day of (official) spring! I hope where ever you are, the sun is shining and there's a promise of green things beginning. My family and I are in Florida right now, hopefully in shorts and flip-flops, enjoying our Spring Break. But never fear–I've scheduled all sorts of fun things for you this week to keep you busy and not TOO envious of our sandy toes!

As soon as I spotted Easter Message (available in wood-mount or cling-mount) in the Spring 2017 Occasions Catalog, I knew it belonged on my shelf. The beautiful artwork and meaningful sayings are classics that I'll use for years to come!

I'm planning to make more than my normal amount of Easter cards this year, so I needed a design that I didn't have to heat-emboss or color in (especially all those palm fronds, wow!) This one, stamped and sponged in Early Espresso ink on Very Vanilla, fit the bill for easy yet elegant. I used the Layering Ovals Framelits to highlight the empty cross, and the Chalk Marker to add white to my lilies so they'd stand out.

How about you? Are you making Easter cards or goodies this year? Maybe little treats for class or Sunday School? I just got Basket Bunch and haven't had time to play yet, but stay tuned for some lighthearted bunnies and chicks Easter projects soon, as well as more contemplative ideas for Easter Message.

Now, turn off the computer or put down the phone, and go enjoy that first day of spring!
