Different take on the Artisan Kit

I know a lot of people aren't into the heavy, dark vintage style, so I thought I'd share a cheerful card I pulled together using the Artisan Embellishment kit and some more of my talented friend Cristy's cute flowers. It's a pretty far cry from what I've been seeing done with this kit, and I love how versatile it is. You know how sometimes you get an idea stuck in your head of what type of project an embellishment can go on, and you never really break out of the mold? This card did that for me.

Let's see… we have Polka Dot Parade Designer Series Papers; Paper Tea Lace Doilies; a "dahlia fold" flower made from circle punches, a ribbon rose made with the Jumbo Sticky Rounds; a Silver Glimmer Paper punched butterfly: Basic Pearls, Glimmer Brad, Crumb Cake Tulle, washi tape, and two buttons, a ceramic rose and a pre-punched ticket from the Artisan Embellishment kit. WHEW!! I think this collage-style card might win for "most embellished project ever" and "most likely to cost extra postage."

I know there's a lot of yellow on this card, but trust me, I have to infuse my own sunshine into the stamp room these days. It has been SO gray and rainy, and occasionally sleeting and snowing, that when the sun came out for a few minutes the other day, everyone remarked on it immediately. What a crazy spring! Is it time to leave for Fiji yet???
