Sharing the last two cards from my scrapbooking retreat weekend at the Craftin' Cabin this year. I'll also have a tutorial to share for one of our Make N Take projects! This card was designed to use up the leftover scraps from that project, which showcased our new Paisley Petals and Four Frames sneak peek products (click here for details on how you can get these!) I just love how the Charming set pairs so perfectly with the Four Frames set. Look how the flourish-y frame from Charming fits perfectly inside the bird frame from Four Frames! Super cool.
Sunday was Jo's birthday, so while her daughter Stephanie was secretly frosting the cake she had baked during Jo's nap the day before, I whipped up a birthday card. Jo is one of the very best stampers it has ever been my pleasure to meet, so I tried to add some extra details in that she would appreciate, like the Vintage Trinkets little pin on the Crumb Cake seam binding ribbon, the Paper Daisy and Basic Pearls, and the gilt edges (done with Gold Lame Smooch accent ink).
I used Clearly for You, one of those sets on my list to tackle that weekend–sets that haven't seen enough ink! I got this one free at Leadership and haven't used it very much–but I have lots of ideas for it now. It's still available through April, in the Occasions Mini Catalog.
And then we all ate chocolate cake and ice cream instead of lunch! What a wonderful ending to a great weekend! Can't wait for the next one–watch for details on a mid-late September retreat!
Lovely cards! Love the gold edges!
