A very unlike me kind of card

DSCF3917 copy

This card turned out pretty, but very unlike me! When I do the Magic Reinker Spread technique, I usually make a whole sheet-ful of Shimmer White cardstock roses embossed with white, because it's a little messy and they take time to dry. I make several different colors, and then I have roses whenever I need to just grab them and make a quick card.

My downline and friend Cathy B. showed me this cool crimping technique she found, where you take your Whisper White rectangle and fold all four corners in towards the center. It doesn't really matter how far you fold them in, so long as they are all folded approximately the same. Then with it all still folded in, you run it through the crimper. When you unfold it, the crimping runs in different directions! You can sponge ink on it, too, to highlight the opposing patterns.

It's such a WOW… fun to watch people try to wrap their mind around how you did it. You've got to try it! Call me to order the crimper if you don't already have it. You will be glad you got one just for this technique if nothing else!

So this card came together with some Pixie Pink cardstock and ink (stamp set is Warm Words), the crimping, a single rose, and some Whisper White satin ribbon. it's not really my style, but I thought I'd share the technique anyway. With Mike being a college professor, we get invited to a lot of weddings, so I can always use some dressier cards like this one.
