31 Pages in 31 Days: It's Your Day, Dad layout and card

Hello my lovelies! Thanks for popping in today for Day Three of 31 Pages in 31 Days! Our blog series is off to a great start and I'm loving seeing all the old and new friends on the Facebook group, too! Today's spread is fantastic for using up scraps! The little squares are two by two, with one larger one that is 3×3 to break it up visually. The stamps I used are from a brand new set called A Good Man and the nautical patterned paper is from the Come Sail Away collection. I love the colors in those papers and that gorgeously vibrant Mossy Meadow green.

PRO TIP: My favorite part of this layout is the headline! I ran thick baker's twine through the letters, securing the knotted ends with rolled mini glue dots. The letters are popped up with mini Stampin' Dimensionals, so there's a lot of texture and depth. It makes a short headline, which could get lost on a page, have a bigger visual presence and establishes its importance.

Did you spot a sneak peek??? Those cute fir trees are a brand new punch!! In the upcoming 2019 Holiday mini catalog there is an absolutely adorable new bundle called Wrapped in Plaid. I will be making a page with it for sure, so stay tuned for more sneak peeks!
