Such a SWEET scrapbook page! Aside from the adorable little boy, the Trendy Trees wheel running along the bottom of this page is just too cute. I took a photo of this page, displayed at Leadership, because of the great button accents they've added along just one edge of the photo. The "typical" thing to do would be to put one in each corner. But grouped together as they are, they have lots more visual effect. A great accent for the page… and easy to do… even easier when you're using Stampin' Up buttons that coordinate with all your papers and cardstock.
LOVE this idea! A big free-handed apple is pierced and then "stitched" onto the page with a leaf and stem. Such a simple thing to do and yet it has a lot of visual Ka-Pow. I love that they covered the chipboard letters with a tiny floral pattern (can't quite make out which DSP it is) that mimics the fabric/textile look they've got going on here.
This is a great 8.5×8.5 page, sized to go in our On Board 8.5×8.5 album, which a lot of people don't know about yet! It's a wonderful size that allows you more flexibility than a 6×6 album, yet less waste than cutting down a 12×12. And because the book is blank, you can alter everything from the covers and spine to the inside and really create a custom album. When you think about it, it IS kind of silly that we go to such trouble to make beautiful and unique scrapbook pages–and then stick them in a factory -made, mass-produced, ugly album. I've long been a fan of Stampin' Up's class linen albums because you can stamp on them, and last year I was very excited about the ability to use Decor Elements on them (stencils, now, too!)–BUT I think the customizable On Board albums are even neater. Spiffy!
What great scrapbook pages! I especially love the top page. The way the buttons run down the side of the photo and did you notice that they added “grass” beneath the trees? Of course, you can’t beat a cute baby in the picture too! LOL TFS!
