NOTE: This post will remain at the top of my blog until Friday at noon. Please scroll down for more recent entries! Thanks!
In celebration of hitting a record number of blog hits in a single day yesterday, I am offering some FAB-YEW-LUSS blog candy! We blew the previous record by more than 500 views, so I think that calls for a party–with presents!
Scrapbooking is where I started, and it will always hold a special place in my heart. I am honored to be ranked number 29 in the Scrapbooking Top 50–and it's your views that allow that to happen! Thank you! The drawing will be for 10 fully completed scrapbook spreads (two-page layouts), for a total of 20 ready-made pages for you to just pop your photos in and journal. This is an enormous outlay not just of supplies and postage, but also of time and love! I hope they go to someone who really appreciates scrapbooking.
Here's how to enter: leave a comment on this post (it's so not hard). Tell me your name, and be sure to leave your email (won't be visible to anyone but me). Then tell me what kinds of layouts are your favorite to make–are birthdays best? Christmas memories? baby pages?
Check back Friday afternoon for the winner's name to be posted! And thank you to all my loyal blog followers, plus all the new ones that joined us this past week. Your comments keep me energized and enthused, which in turn makes me want to post MORE!
I like a scrapbook page which allows the pictures on it to be the center of attention. I guess I’m a minimalist.
Lyssa
You know I love the cards and scrapping you do!
The Portrait gallery and beau chateau are two of my favorites along with the fall colors you do. Baby, birthdays are my favorites. You do excellent work, keep sharing the beauty! 🙂
I love all pages! It’s so much fun to see what everyone can do with a little paper and pictures!
that star you made with the scoreboard is adorable and everyone should purchase one just to make those! Very pretty and affordable
to make.
My favorite scrapbook pages are everyday designs that leave room for journaling. I love to tell our family’s story so that my kids will always have these memories!
Lyssa,
Love your layouts, I have tweaked a few of your layouts and have used them! Wow! To have 20 in my hand at once…YEA ME!
My favorite ones to make are birthday.. people tend to be in a good mood on their birthday:)
My favorite scrapbook pages are any ones that have my family in them. Ones with memories we have made together! 🙂
Go you! My favorite pages to make are anything fun and goofy. Go figure, right?
Since I’ve only made two pages in my whole life, ANYTHING you made would make me happy! I guess theme-wise, if some were birthday that would be great, since my DH’s 60th is coming in Feb., and I’m planning a surprise party. 🙂
I also started out with scrapbooking, and boy did it turn into a hobby! Expensive hobby, I must say, since my two “scrampin” pals and I made up our motto, “WE NEED MORE STUFF”! I check your site frequently for great ideas, and LOVE the simply scored series. Keep up this great blog!
I love scrap pages that remind me of events our family has participated in.
Congrats on your record number of blog hits in one day!
Congratulations on reaching an overwhelming milestone. I enjoy visiting your blog daily to see your latest creations & inspiration.
I am new to scrapbooking and to win your prize would be awesome!! My favorite occasions are anytime my family gets together. So, right now, it’s Christmas.
Thank you for the chance to win!
Lyssa I love layouts that have unique elements such as an unexpected way of using a scrapbooking tool or embellishment or a surprising color combinaiton. Something that differentiates a layout from any other old layout.
Congratulations on your milestone!
WOW! What a great blog candy!!! I would be partial to birthday pages for a girl–she’s six now but we are behind:( I love your “style” and look forward to seeing who the winner is–pick me! pick me!
How generous, Lyssa! My favorite scrapbook pages focus on the pictures, rather than all the stuff. I love lots of pictures on a page, with room for journaling and a few embellishments. I also like my 2-pages facing each other to match in color scheme.
I love scrapbooking and stamping! Christmas pages are always fun (but then, I am in the Christmas spirit now, lol!) I have 7 grandchildren ages 7 to 17, so you can imagine the possibilities! (and of course, I am WAYYYY behind scrapping my pics)
Wow..how nice of you! I love to scrapbook all types of photos. I am very behind but have a feeling I will have extra time when my nest empties in a few years. Thank you for taking the time to do another series…it brightens my day! 🙂
I love anything Christmas! There are always plenty of photos from holiday parties and activities….the possibilities are endless! I am loving your series on the “scored” projects!
Wow. now that is the best blog candy I have ever heard of! I am ten years behind in my scrapbooking, my first thought was baby then I thought Christmas but daily life can be great too so I guess I like it all:)
My favorite scrapbook pages are everyday, kids just having fun pages. I consider myself a scrapbooker who makes cards, but I sure don’t get time to scrapbook as much as I would like.
So happy for you Lyssa … lots of blog viewers … you continue to inspire me … and provide me with lots of ideas for my stampers! I started as a scrapbooker, but have lost touch with it lately … my fave layouts tend to be ones that are just ‘life moments’ … not special occasions, but just the moments that make life special!
I’d love to win your generous gift! I have some wonderful B & W pictures of my grandparents and parents when they were young back in the 30’s and 40’s, and I’d like pages that would showcase the pictures and leave me room to journal so the family stories can be preserved.
Congratulations on the blog hits–you deserve it. Your blog is inspirational and fun!
Congratulations! You’re a great blogger, a great demo and a great inspiration!
Scrapbook pages? Ohhhhhh you don’t know how many piles are on the office table — lots and lots and lots of pictures and mementos to scrapbook and I’ve not had the energy to do it (fighting infection and reactions to drugs since August). What a wonderful gift this would be!
All occasion pages work well — classical concerts on the Green, friends’ weddings, a doctoral degree celebration, a Disney trip…. more choral concerts… and even some memorable moments like my birthday celebration while in the hospital/rehab!
In short, anything all-occasion that YOU come up with would be special indeed!
Lyssa,
I love your blog and your ideas. You always make me look at things differently. If I get stuck, I come here and get ideas.
I scrapbook everything! Right now I am working on an album of a weekend trip my husband and I took and the on going school albums.
Congrats on all your blog views. My favorite pages to create are vacation pages, especially trips to the ocean. I love looking through the pictures as I create the pages.
I am a recent follower and I LOVE your designs. My favorite scrapbooking/card making items are Christmas. Birthdays are a close second. Thank you for all you do.
I’m mostly enjoying baby pages at this point in time, since I have several young grandchildren. Have loved alot of your ideas. Thanks!
Lyssa,
I love how you inspire simple but elegant pages. I too started our scrapbooking and loved how it turned into cards. I would love to see more pages dedicated to everyday events. We so often forget about all the everyday stuff. Family is so important and to remember all the little things is the best. Keep up the good work. Congrats on the blog hits. I do my part to help.
I love everyday Scrapbooking pages. Just capturing the moments of everyday life. I follow your Blog every day. You are so creative and I really appreciate that you are so positive and willing to share. Thank you!!
I just stumbled across your blog and WOW! I have been going back months and months enjoying all your creations. I love Christmas layouts but most of all I love pages that I just have to drop pictures into. Now I must add your blog to my daily checks. Thanks for all your sharing.
I am not surprised at your milestone as you are such a talented person! I check out your blog daily or as often as possible! I love Christmas layouts since that is when the majority of my family is able to get together.
Thank you for your generous offering & a chance to win it!
I love eveything you do, and I’m not surprised that you inspire the masses! TFS!
I follow what you are up to often and am always inspired by what you post – THANKS! I find myself drawn to creating Christmas layouts – it’s such a special time of the year for our family – all different sizes but focused on keeping it simple.
CONGRATS on your milestone and sharing with us!!
I love putting together vintage pages. My family album is my favorite because of the black and white and sepia tones. I have to admit that I do also love doing pages with my grandsons!!! baby, birthday, holidays, spring, new steps.. oh heck.. I just love to scrap!!!! BUT Since I have a full time job and part time job.. not so much time to scrap…
I love vintage layouts — got so many black and white photos to do. But I absolutely use all scrapbooking layouts.
I loved your Doily month and now I’m enjoying all the simply scored stuff! As for SB pages, I like baby and Christmas ones.
Hugs,
Susan aka soozie4Him on SCS
Wow, what a great prize! I love all scrapbooking and like you; its my first love! Can’t wait to see who wins and I DO hope its me! Your blog is awesome and I’ve put it in my favorites now. I’ve watched your posts on SCS and you sure do keep me motivated in the building of my SU business!
I love your blog, your projects and your scrapbook pages! Your layouts are beautiful! I love that you have given us the chance to win some of them! Thank you! I love scrapping everyday moments of my family best so I am sure these would help me out ;). Thanks for all of the inspiration Lyssa!
Love your blog and your wonderful ideas!! My favs to scrapbook are baby pages – although I don’t do too many since my “little ones” are now 38!!! Do a lot of travel pages since DD loves to take me with her on trips!!
I recently discovered your blog and have bookmarked it as a favorite! I also got my start as a scrapbooker. I scrapbook a family album and let the pictures and journaling be the primary pieces. I definitely use accents and embellishments, but they are not the focal point of my pages. In January, my favorite thing to scrapbook is all the photo greeting cards we received at Christmas. I create 12 x 12 layouts and add to an album just of those precious cards!
Love your ideas and I am so glad I found you in the blogging world. I love special occasion pages but the everyday moments are great and your ideas keep inspiring me to keep finishing the pages, thanks for all of your inspiration, sharing and of course for this opportunity to win some blog candy
Eileen
Lyssa: I would be honored to have your scrapbook layouts, and to have scrapbook layouts ready to put precious pictures on. I follow your blog regularly and anticipate when you post your Scrap Pages for your club. Always love your ideas. Thanks for being so willing to share.

Hi, Lyssa!
First of all, thank you so much for all the sharing you do with us on the internet! What a blessing you are to us!!
Thanks for this great giveaway! Someone will be VERY happy when they win this….wink….wishing it was me! hehehe
As for my own scrapbooking….eh, I am still pretty new to it, and since my 2 boys are grown, and not attached, with grandbabies yet, I tend to enjoy everyday layouts.
ALSO, I love that little album you just posted a few days ago…would you happen to have pictures of what you did on the inside of the CHristmas one?
Thanks so much.
And, Merry Christmas to you!

Thanks for sharing with us, you are indeed an inspiration to us all. As we enjoy travelling, I love creating scrapbook pages where we can share our adventures
New to the blogs, new to SU but loving every minute. I write to tell you my scrapbook story. I used to scrapbook up until 3 yrs ago when I lost my mom, she was only 62 & my dad at age 59, just 6 days after the birth of my 11 yr old. I being the only child have mounds & mounds of pictures handed down from 1912. At one point I so enjoyed scrapbooking my little girls wonderful birthdays and such but after my mom’s passing couldn’t & have not been able to bring myself to the boxes & boxes of photos. So many memories, tears of pure joy and the heavy weight of loss and sadness. It’s selfish I realize but it’s so hard. The 11 books I’ve done prior to my mother are so enjoyed by my girls now 11 and 14. Seems anytime someone new enters our doors they run for the books to show how cute they were etc. Although I love making my cards, boxes I do want to start completion of pages again soon. I loved her so much & miss her everyday, every minute. I am blessed, truly blessed to know that I will see her someday. Good luck with your wonderful website. I am inspired by you and inspired by the people I’ve been able to share with through SU.
That’s awesome! And yes, 20 scrapbook pages to slip pictures onto would be wonderful (my kind of scrapbooking LOL!
I don’t do alot of scrapbooking but I find family vacation photos the easiest and most fun to scrapbook! (probably the only pages I’ve made with pictures actually adhered on the page.
Lyssa, I logged onto your blog this morning silently praying that you had updated from when I last checked as I was in need of an uplift. Now I have spent some lovely time reading thoughtful words and gazing at beautiful crafts. Thank You!
My favourite scrapping is the pages I do from the heart – when the journalling is my deep, true feelings.
Hi Lyssa! What an amazing blog candy you are offering! I tried traditional scrapbooking, and while I loved it, I just never made the time to do it and was overwhelmed when I tried. Now that I have MDS, I’ve been able to create tons of beautiful scrapbook layouts! However, once I get all my household goods (some have been in storage for over six years while we lived abroad), I hope to get back to it.
I think my favorite pages are baby pages. They are just so sweet! I can’t wait to scrap my babies’ pictures (they are now 11 and 14)! I have all the supplies in storage, as well as my pictures — just have to get my hands on them!
Thank you so much for sharing your wonderful talents with us!
