Welcome! If you're just joining us, we're on Day Eight of a fun summertime blog series, 31 Pages in 31 Days! I hope you find lots of stampy inspiration here–whether it is for now or for later. Feeling a little behind with your scrapping? Maybe if you follow along with us, you'll find yourself rejuvenated!
I am excited to make this "labor of love" page with my Scrapbooking Summer School ladies at the second of their four-week class series this week. There are a lot of little pieces and parts to this layout, but it starts simple–a Soft Suede 12×12 cardstock, with an 11×11 piece of First Edition Specialty Designer Series Paper layered on top after being weathered like the Dickens! It's crumpled, sponged, spritzed, stamped and torn. This is a great page to do when you're frustrated! : )
Just some close ups of a couple of the tag pieces. I used the Nature Walk and Daring Adventure stamp sets, and even a couple images from the Lovely As A Tree stamp set, and the new Timber Stampin' Around wheel from the 2012 Holiday Catalog. I wanted this page to look like a botanical shadowbox. It would look especially cute if you paired it with sepia-tone photos, too.
Love this little touch especially–it's a piece of our super-thin, paper-backed balsa wood. I stained it with sponged ink so it looked older, then punched holes for the Metallic brads using the 1/16th inch handheld punch. It's thin and flat and you can write or stamp on it–pretty nifty!
See you tomorrow for Day Nine of the 31 Pages Challenge!
