We are stuck home for Christmas! Yesterday there was a marvelous blizzard and today the whole world is blindingly white and sparkly. It looks like someone turned their heat tool on directly into a pot of Dazzlin' Diamonds. I've been posting pictures of the snow's progress, taken from the same window each time, to Facebook. "Like" Song of My Heart Stampers and you can see my gorgeous winter wonderland!
But that's not why we're stuck… I'm still hacking away and my daughter has it now, too. We can't expose my mom with her sarcoidosis, or my dear grandmamma, who is laid up with a pulled back from their move into assisted living this past month. And with Wyoming being two days out and two days back, the window of opportunity was too small. BUMMER!
So we are busy making up Christmas on the fly here, and of course I am stamping…. and stamping… and stamping, in my unexpected down time! Trying to get ready for our big Leadership Conference the second week in January. I'll be sneak-peeking you some of those cards because I don't have anything else to share except that!
I love this new Feel Goods stamp set used above, coming in the 2013 Occasions Catalog (Jan. 2nd ordering begins!). It was fun to pair it with a new product called the Pop-Up Posies Designer Kit, that has pre-cut flowers and fun brads along with tags and thick twine. It even has a "just for you" stamp set, too. It is a generous kit–I had tons of flower pieces left over when I got done making these coffee-sampler gift packs.
The coffee packs (made by Berres' Brothers, a local roaster, and filled with WI-themed flavors such as Packers Perc and Highlander Grogg) are going to be gift items for friends I'll be seeing at the conference. It's so much fun to come home with regional treats from all over the place. I betcha Homeland Security will have a "gift" for me, too… I hear coffee is sometimes used to try to throw off the scent of banned substances in luggage! I'll have to plan time for an extra pat-down. Hee hee!
