Hello my lovelies! Thanks for making Song of My Heart a stop on your daily rounds! If you're a cardmaker, just FYI we're in the middle of a scrapbook series, so you may have to scroll a bit to see card ideas this month. We'll be back to our regular programming on September 1st. Until then, you can just sit back and enjoy the wide variety of very versatile ways to use your cardmaking tools to scrapbook, too!
Today's inspiration layout is elegantly simple, to let the lace sheets take center stage. A little hand-trimming took a 12×12 Shimmer Detailed laser-cut lace sheet and gave us delicate corner elements exactly the size and shape needed. I wish the photos showed the shimmer! The lace is vanilla shimmer on one side and flat white on the other.
PRO TIP: I used a pretty scalloped-flap envelope from the Bird Ballad Tin of Cards kit as a keepsake envelope to hold memorabilia. No need to create a working clasp or closure for it, as the page protector will hold it shut.
The texture and depth on this page is sooo gorgeous. I can't wait for my Scrapbooking Summer School participants to dig in! We'll be doing some fun things with the leftover lace bits, too. Stay tuned!
Ready to recreate this look at home? Here's what I used:
So that's Day Thirteen done and dusted! I've gotten 20 pages done so far. Are you playing along? See what everyone is getting accomplished in our free Facebook Challenge group! See you tomorrow!
Beautiful!
This is the perfect wedding page!
