Ok, Ok, so I'm late. Should have started this series on the first of August, but I've been incredibly busy with behind the scenes stuff that is for upcoming events, demo things, and blog stuff no one ever sees but me. I also have maybe a teeny tiny case of "back to reality blues" post-Convention.
Anyway, Days One thru Three of the "31 Days of Doilies" will be posted today, and then I will be adding one card every day until August 31st. A large portion of my time away from you has been spent photographing and cataloging the Flirtatious Suite projects from my convention presentation, and at long last, they are ready to share with the general public!
Above is probably my very favoritest favorite of all the cards I have made thus far with Hello Doily because it's pretty (duh) but also unexpected. To make this card, you emboss the doily twice, using one for the background of the card. Fold the other one in half and run it through the Big Shot on the largest of the Beautiful Butterflies die. Sponge everything to bring out the details (I used Blushing Bride), and stamp a sentiment from Perfectly Penned.
Hope you enjoy the 31 Days of Doilies!
Oh wow Lyssa! That’s beautiful!
Thanks for sharing this one with us at the Shoebox Swap! It looks great here, but it is AWESOME in real life!
This one is sooooo cool! It almost looks as if you cut a butterfly out of glass and it’s sitting on top of the doily. LOVE IT!
this is just brilliant…I love it…
Lyssa,
This is gorgeous. I had to keep looking at it to figure out how you cut a glass butterfly. After reading your post, I still had to look to figure it out. This is absolutely beautiful.
