sneaky peeky–International Bazaar & new stitched grosgrain

I was delighted to see a sheet of Pacific Point patterned paper in the Designer Series Paper pack called International Bazaar. I love Pacific Point for the incredible clear, unapologetic blue, and I could envision a monochromatic card with this pattern and the new World Treasures set very clearly. I had been wanting to use the peacock stamp anyway–peacocks are really hot right now, even as a wedding theme. Always fun to try your hand at the latest trend!

This weekend I made 36 of these for swapping at Convention 2012 in July (it's coming up fast!) I hope they like them! I used my new Imagicut ribbon cutter that seals the ends to prevent ravelling–nifty tool–on the new Whisper White stitched grosgrain ribbon that is coming out June 1st. I can already tell I am going to have to own that in all the colors!

  1. It’s a nifty little battery-operated tool that cuts ribbon via a heated wire, which simultaneously seals the ends. It works on all SU ribbons except for seam binding (evidently not enough synthetic fibers to melt). I bought mine via Amazon for about $17.
