I was so looking forward to this event on the 2012 Disney World incentive trip! Acheivers voluntarily bring things to show or demonstrate, and you can ask questions and take pictures and notes as needed. I loved these cute Angry Bird treat bags shared by my friend Kristine Burns. Aren't they adorable?
I shared a table with my friend Renee Watson, who was demoing these amazing silk scarves, stamped and dyed with ink refills (microwave to heat-set!) Renee and I joked that we were the textile table.
Candyce Michael showed us how to make the cutest fortune cookies from Designer Series Papers! And there were wonderful displays of samples made with World Treasures, a new product suite from the upcoming catalog, which was one of our pillow gifts! It's vibrant and unusual, and I love the sayings.
People really seemed to like my stuff. Everything was made with the Designer Series Fabrics. I brought the Flirtatious dress and Summer Smooches outfit I made for Natalie to show, plus a boxed set of fabric cards–don't worry, there'll be a photo tutorial on that one for ya! It deserves it's own post, for sure.
The Disney Boardwalk caterers put on a fabulous dessert spread with hot mini churros with caramel sauce, and a hot chocolate buffet with decadent toppings! But the REAL icing on the cake was receiving our copy of the upcoming catalog several days in advance of anyone else!!! You should have HEARD the squeals and oohs and ahhs! The wait staff was just astounded at our reaction. It got to the point that they were cheering right along with us at each new announcement. As I was leaving LATE that night, I thanked two of the waiters and apologized that we were so loud and enthusiastic about it. One asked me why we were so excited. I told him it's because it's full of awesome products that we can sell with our whole hearts, and earn amazing trips like Disney and Fiji totally free. He was pretty impressed! So am I! I never get used to it–I'm still just amazed they pay me anything for doing what I love so much.
I'm not allowed to say anything else about the catalog or what's in it, but I will say no one will be disappointed! Stampin' Up has outdone themselves once again. And now… I think it's time for another nap. Disney wiped me out! Too much fun!
Thanks for your update Lyssa! After the anticipation all week it was nice to have one more to keep us going until we see the catalogue on-line.
