I learned a new fancy fold this week and had to share it with you! I actually show two folds in this quick live video. Both can be done without any fancy tools, or even without scoring if you have to! But I do recommend a good paper trimmer with a scoring blade for the most professional-looking results.
The above card fold is called a Z-fold. It's probably the absolutely simplest way to turn a regular card base into a fancy fold. All you have to do is make a card, then fold the front cover back on itself. Just make sure you only attach your focal point piece on the LEFT side!
Below is a fun and fancy horizontal gatefold with criss-cross door panels. You won't believe how easy it is!
isn't that so fun? There are lots of opportunities for embellishment inside, too.
And it's no more work (or cardstock) than a regular card would take. I really like that it crosses over but doesn't have any parts that get tangled up or prevent a smooth opening. I hope you try this one!

Love your easy folds, Lyssa! That stamp that makes the background “paper” look – WOW! I LOVE that. These cards are making me look more closely at that stamp set! 🙂
