Punch art tent from Scrap A Stack Club

I've been asked to do more closeups to show detail, so here's a post that should make some of you happy! These are all closeups of the three projects we made last night at Scrap A Stack Club. We made a Big Shot Build A Bear Workshop trick-or-treat spread with this little guy and his punch-art treat bag. His eyes glittered behind the mask–two self-adhesive rhinestones!

We also made an elegant autumn spread using the Day of Gratitude set with the Contempo Alphabet stamps, punched out with nesting square punches. Then we entwined twine (get it?) around the raised punches (up on dimensionals) and added some hand cut leaves. Beautiful!

We also made a fun camping layout using the Big Shot Simple Alphabet and the white gel pen to create stitching. There was a lot of shine and shimmer going on here with Smooch Accent Ink, too! We used the set Under the Stars, which is a great set for anyone in Scouts or who loves the outdoors. The only thing I thought that set needed was a TENT…

So here's the little tent I came up with yesterday for this page. I am not too wonderful about envisioning punch art, but the faux stitching on the Top Note seemed to give me a good place to start.  It is made from cutting a Top Note shape on the Big Shot, then turning it 180 degrees and running it through again. This cuts off the two pieces you see here, up on dimensionals and tied with twine to look like tent tiebacks.

The back of the tent is the square left when you double-cut the Top Note that way–cut in half across the middle (so you're left with a triangle). We just hand drew our own tent poles, or you could cut one from cardstock, too.

Hope you've enjoyed these super closeups, and I will try to do some more of those in the future. Just promise me you won't snigger and point out all the mistakes you'll be better able to spot.
